Presence Forge: From AI Design to Your 3D Printer

One of the most requested capabilities from our community has finally become reality.

Today we’re introducing Presence Forge, the new 3D creation environment that will become part of the Presence ecosystem.

Forge combines two complementary approaches to 3D design, making it suitable for both engineers and creators.

CAD Mode

The first component of Forge is built around CadQuery, an advanced parametric CAD engine.

This mode allows users to describe objects using natural language while the AI generates precise parametric models suitable for engineering, prototyping, mechanical parts, enclosures and functional objects.

Unlike traditional mesh modeling, parametric CAD preserves dimensions and relationships, making designs easy to modify and regenerate.

Sculpt Mode

The second component is Sculpt Mode.

Instead of describing dimensions and geometric constraints, users simply describe the object they imagine.

Presence generates a detailed 3D mesh that can be refined, exported and prepared for printing.

This workflow is particularly suited for miniatures, artistic objects, collectibles, figurines and organic models that would be difficult to create with traditional CAD software.

Ready for 3D Printing

Although CAD Mode and Sculpt Mode use completely different technologies, they share the same objective.

Both generate models that can be exported into formats supported by modern slicers.

Our current workflow uses OrcaSlicer, which prepares the model for the printer by generating supports, optimizing the print path and producing the machine instructions required for fabrication.

The result is a seamless pipeline:

Idea → AI → 3D Model → OrcaSlicer → 3D Printer

A Local Workflow

As with every Presence module, Forge is designed to run locally.

Your prompts, your models and your projects remain on your own computer, giving you complete control over your creative workflow.

What’s Next

Forge is only the beginning.

Our next milestone is support for full-color 3D printing, allowing users to create printable models with textures and colors designed directly inside the Presence ecosystem.

Presence is steadily evolving into much more than an AI assistant.

It is becoming a complete local creative platform where ideas can move naturally from text to images, videos, music, software… and now physical objects.
