Performance and expectations
Eidolon runs entirely on your local machine.
It is not a cloud-based system like ChatGPT or Claude.
Performance depends on:
- GPU (VRAM)
- system RAM
- CPU
This means:
- lower-end systems will require compromises
- high-end systems will unlock more advanced capabilities
This is a fundamental aspect of local AI.
Privacy by design
Eidolon does not send data externally unless explicitly requested.
Internet access can be enabled or disabled directly from the interface.
All interactions, files, and generated content remain on your machine.
Bonus: Moltbook integration
All chat modules (except Eidolon Micro) now include the Moltbook module, allowing extended interaction workflows and enhanced usability.

Final note
Eidolon is not designed to replace cloud AI.
It is designed to give you something different:
control, privacy, and the ability to run advanced AI systems on your own hardware.
This is just the beginning.
